We moved to the area in 2015 and came to Brickworks in 2018. We are forever grateful for the Lord’s redeeming work in our own messy lives, and we love helping people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, personalities and nationalities get to know Jesus and grow in love for Him and for all people. We love the diversity of church as God’s gathered family, both locally and around the world, unified in Christ’s redeeming love, worshiping in His spirit and truth, and diverse in pretty much every other way.
We arrived in the area forty years ago when Graham took up a post at the local FE College and later to teach special needs adults. Jan was a teacher until starting our family of three daughters, who attended Rufford School Nursery and are now grown up.
We have been with Brickworks Church since it started ten years ago. Prior to that Graham qualified as a lay preacher and Jan has been involved in children’s work and dance in worship. We continue to look forward to what God will be doing here in the coming years.
I love living life with Jesus, and it's wonderful to gather with God's children, worshipping Him together, learning from His Word, spending time with God in prayer, each being led by His Spirit and becoming more and more like Christ Jesus everyday, making Him known to everyone we meet.
The motto I live by: Love God, love each other.
My biggest prayer: Lord, thank You for opening the way for everyone to come to You. Draw each of us to You, and glorify Your Name throughout the whole earth. Your will be done in us, our families, communities, nation and the world. Amen!
I am the curate (Trainee Vicar) for Christ Church Lye and Brickworks. I am married to Naomi and we moved to the area just after the first lockdown in the summer of 2020.
I enjoy sports and am an Aston Villa fan. I will happily talk sports with you if you see me or if you're not sporty I am also into tech things if you prefer the more nerdy conversations.
I have an interest in the biblical languages with my dissertation being a Hebrew word study on atonement in Leviticus and church history, particularly around the reformation era..

Brickworks Church is an outreach from Christ Church Lye (the one with the WWI soldier statue in front).
