Basis of Faith

We believe in...

The one true and eternal God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit as is revealed in scripture and the catholic creeds.

The authority of the Bible which is God's written word. It is fully reliable, trustworthy and contains all things necessary for salvation.

The atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. He died in our place and took the penalty of sin to set us free. Jesus is the only way to be saved and he offers it freely to all who turn to him.

The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. He died, was buried and on the third day rose again. He ascended into heaven and intercedes for his people.

the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Who convicts us of our sin and for all who repent, the Spirit regenerates, sanctifies, equips and empowers.

The return of our Lord Jesus Christ in glory. He will raise all from the dead for judgement and bring those who are redeemed in Jesus to eternal life.

Salvation by faith alone through grace alone. We cannot achieve salvation by our own efforts but we must depend upon the free gift of God found in Jesus Christ.

The church is the community of believers. It isn't the building but the worshipping collective of believers as the body of Christ. The mission of the global church is to proclaim the Gospel in every nation.

Two ordinances which are signs of grace, baptism and the Lord's supper. These two ordinances are visible signs of the gospel for the believer. There is one baptism and the Lord's supper is a perpetual memory of Jesus' death until he returns again.
